Fastnet Tour Sailing Advice

Passengers should present themselves for boarding at least 15 minutes prior departure to enable us to depart on time.

All passengers should allow adequate time for parking in both Schull and Baltimore during the busy season. We would recommend at least 30 mins.

There are shops, restaurants, and bars in both Schull and Baltimore where one can purchase refreshments before or after your trip.

The Fastnet Rock Lighthouse is located in the open sea and even during the summer sea conditions can be choppy at times. This is why we operate in fine weather only although you can book a ticket we will confirm all sailings 72-48 hrs before, according to the weather forecast. At the slim chance your ticket has to be cancelled we will, of course, offer you another sailing or your money back.  You will find the Fastnet forecast here.

As the Fastnet Rock is further out to sea and Ireland is famous for having all four seasons of weather in one day we recommend wearing several layers from a light tee-shirt to a coat and hat for the fresh sea breeze. Don’t forget the sun cream and most importantly the camera! If you plan on walking one of the marked walking trails we would also recommend appropriate footwear.
